A simple, fair cancellation approach.
Effective September 3, 2026
Before substantive work begins
Customers may cancel for a full refund before TaskUnload begins substantive work on the purchased scope.
What counts as substantive work
Substantive work includes actual fulfillment activity such as analysis performed as part of delivery, data or document processing, configuration, research, reconciliation, workflow development, setup, preparation of deliverables, or other work toward completing the purchased scope. Automated confirmation or basic onboarding collection alone does not count as substantive project work.
After substantive work begins
Once substantive work begins, payments are generally non-refundable because TaskUnload has committed time, capacity, resources and project work. A customer change of mind, priority or timing after work begins does not ordinarily create a refund right.
Recurring services
Customers may cancel future renewals before the next billing date. Fees for the current service period are generally non-refundable once that service period begins, unless TaskUnload is unable to provide the agreed service.
Custom-project deposits
A disclosed deposit reserves or starts the project and is credited toward the agreed project price. Once substantive work begins, the disclosed deposit is generally non-refundable. Future milestones are not charged until due.
Scope changes and third-party costs
Material scope changes require customer approval before additional billable work. Authorized third-party costs are generally non-refundable once incurred unless the applicable third party refunds them to TaskUnload.
TaskUnload errors or material failure
If TaskUnload makes an error within the agreed scope, TaskUnload will first work to correct it at no additional charge. If TaskUnload materially fails to deliver the purchased scope and cannot reasonably correct the issue, an appropriate remedy may be provided.
